They say if you're late for something, don't try too hard to reach on time. So while I was quite late to reach a 3 pm meeting and head for the Intl Film Festival of India, I instead took the route to Alto Porvorim's Clergy Home. For some time now, I had a book with me, written by Mel D'Souza (see attached cover), which I had to hand over to Fr Nascimento.
After searching around for the right door ("Fr Nascimento should be up
by now. Go to the red door and ring the bell," an elderly gent, maybe
a priest too, told me, after looking at his watch.)
As usual, Fr N was neatly dressed, and he said an enthusiastic "much
better now" when asked about his health. (There you go, Annette, by
way of an answer.)
I handed over Mel's book, which he was delighted to see, noting that
Mel had thanked him prominently for all the info.
We shared a few notes, about Saligaokar(n)s and Saligao. I remembered
Kevin's discussion on another subject (the keywords were computer,
Cecil, Ashley) and Fr N seemed pretty enthusiastic about it.
That is all for just a small update from this end. FN
