Will get Fiona to give the cash directly. Is there anybody else closer to
us in Donvaddo (after all our vaddo was considered the dark continent &
light miles away - ha ha!) so that Fiona can pass on the money..... perhaps
someone in the Saligao Institute..... she makes a trip there on & off, or to
Blanche Saldanha's place. Fiona is probably the only person in Saligao
who doesnt drive a vehicle nor ride a scooter or cycle for that matter, and
her legs dont carry her to Ashley's place, but they do to Rico's. So....

Hi all,
resulting from discussions all around, it was decided for various
reasons that a laptop computer would probably be the best option for
Fr. Nasciment. We would like to be able to raise that amount within
the next week as there are several people going down to Goa for
Christmas and can get the money to Ashley. If possible, I would like
to be able to get this done by the second week of December.
Ashley has the requirements for it and is happy to purchase, install
and maintain it as soon as we can raise the necessary Rs30,000 to pay
for it as laptops are on a cash basis and cannot be billed as he can
for his other desk-top computers.
So the ball is back in our court. Ashley does not have a PayPal
account. Cecil Pinto has one but is reluctant to use it because it is
his business account and is audited. If there is anyone else on this
list in Goa who can collect the funds let us know. Otherwise, for the
US, Suri ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] ) has agreed to collect the money and in
Canada, GTA area, I will be happy to collect donations (
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ). I have a personal PayPal account. Amounts can be
remitted to [EMAIL PROTECTED] via PayPal.
Others who know of anyone going down in December can send the funds
directly to Ashley Delaney in Saligao. I will assume (and hope) that
he will publish an ongoing tally to this forum. Unfortunately, no
anonymous donations will be accepted. However, those wishing to
remain anonymous can put their donations in the name of someone else
(eg. in memory of ??) for acknowledgement and accounting purposes.
Thanks to all who participate. We hope to get Fr. Nasciment back
online before Christmas.
