Dear Fred, I respect your decision as the Moderator to place the saligaonet under 'emergency moderation'. But, frankly speaking i don think you should exercise this emergency mode option at the moment. Perhaps the 'laptop' issue and the postings thereof have prompted you to take such a drastic action.
As a moderator of VaskokarsUnited mailing list, i have also faced many such similar situations wherein members give free vent to their feelings. (u also know them) But, things do come under control without having to exercise the option you so wish to employ. Please trust the Saligaonetters, that they will not henceforth take liberties with their postings that could in someway or the other hurt someone on the list. I am sure, the subject matter has been peacefully and in a most fiendly manner been laid to rest,by all concerned. We all agree and accept the simple fact that mistakes do happen. But, the greatness of all men and women lies in addmitting a mistake and also on the other hand, in forgiving an unintentional mistake. I think in the last few days we have all seen all this happen in a gracefull manner. Forget the few exceptions here and there. Considering, the debate was ignited after i posted the clarification on the aggrieved person's (Fr. Nascimento Mascarenhas) behalf, i feel this post of mine will be the final chapter of the entire episode, bringing it to a 'A final'.
