I see you're running an IIS server.
Why not let Salive generate a monitor.asp page
that has everyone's results in it, let your
customers call /monitor.asp?client_id=AQZ
and let the ASP page do the filtering on
results destined for this customer?

I've even been using JavaScript for parsing the
querystring, but that's more cumbersome.

yeah - might be on option. But I also want to utilise the ability to
generate a second HTML page which only shows those hosts that are for a
specific customer. This is so that the customer can go to the page rather
than hassling me !!

Dirk, a nice facility would be to be able to highlight certain checks in
the main screen, and then be able to edit certain parameters that are
common for all those highlighted. Could be on the list for v5 :)

Or replace your Default one with the new one which is what I did to save
myself the same hassle.

Currently there is no easy way to do this. I'm afraid you'll have go
through the whole list

Dirk.

Subject: [SA-list] HTML page generation

I have just implemented the generation of the external web page in Servers
Alive, which seems to work fine. But is there any quick way i can change
all of my checks (about 400) to use the new template rather than the
current default one ?

In addition, some of the checks we do are for customers machines and the
server name is preceeded by a unique three letter code for the customer. I
would like to generate a second HTML page with only the customers servers
on it. Is there any way I can only select those checks and direct those to
a second template I have setup ?

Best wishes
