I just downloaded Servers Alive (v.3.2.1087, eval version) and I am experiencing difficulties getting the alphanumeric paging to work. I have followed the documentation and have tried several differernt options to no avail.
I do connect to my paging service provider’s modem (at least it sounds as if it is negotiating and connecting), but I’m not receiving any of the test pages.
My provider is ArchWireless and I have the following settings:
SMSC no: 800 number to ArchWireless’ modem Comm settings: 7E1 Baudrate: 2400 Protocol: TAP Password: My ArchWireLess PIN (pager number including area code) Format: AlphaNumeric
I created the registry entry for DoubleMessage and tried both a Hexidecimal value of “0” and “1”.
Can anyone offer any suggestions? I’m awaiting a callback from a technician with ArchWireless (not holding my breath though). ;-)
