Looks
like 3.2.1087 has a problem with TAP. I got it to send a test message once - and
only once ever. Then it stopped working completely. I have reinstalled the
modem, tried several different call numbers, and rebooted the machine
several times but nothing.
When
it fails I get the same in the log as you do.

Subject: [SA-list] Alpha PagingOk, I'm new to the list and I'm sure this has probably been covered a zillion times, but I digress...I'm currenlty using Servers Alive 3.2.1087, and I'm trying to get the paging working for Alpha Numeric pagers. I'm using Verizon, and I entered all the configuration info in (according to the current TAP providers information page on the Woodstone site), however I'm not getting the page. I suspect either the modem isn't dialing or Verizon is rejecting me, but I see nothing in the Server's Alive log (I have it set to the highest level). Currently, this is all I see in the log when it tries to page:Wednesday, June 19, 2002 5:14:22 PM PAGING : Comm 0
Wednesday, June 19, 2002 5:14:22 PM PAGING : RECIP xxxxxxxxxx
Wednesday, June 19, 2002 5:14:22 PM PAGING : REQ False
Wednesday, June 19, 2002 5:14:22 PM PAGING : TEXT Calamity is DOWN
Wednesday, June 19, 2002 5:14:22 PM PAGING : SMSC 918009378941
Wednesday, June 19, 2002 5:14:22 PM PAGING : PROTO 1(The XXX's represent my 10 digit phone number, hidden to protect the innocent :) )Thats all I see, and I hear no modem tons (although I suspect the modem speaker is probably off even if it was working). Can anybody help me out with this?I thought that the Comm 0 entry was a little strange, but I can't change the configuration because it just lets me choose which modem I wish to use from the drop down.Thanks!-ryan.Ryan White
