You close down SA in TA after using it :) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Brent Ozar Sent: 21 March 2003 17:13 To: David Lewis-Waller Subject: Re: [SA-list] SAlive service and terminal server

We only administer SA using TS. :) Yeah, but you're starting two instances of SA. Here's how you can tell: log into the server over TS, then go into Task Manager. Go to the Processes tab, and sort by name. You'll notice one instance of serversalive.exe, which is the service. Now close Task Manager, and go into Explorer and double-click on serversalive.exe. You'll see it pop into the taskbar. Now go back into Task Manager, go to Processes, sort by name, and you'll see two instances of serversalive.exe. Or at least, I do. If you only see one, I wanna know your trick! Brent -- BrentO "Famous Last Words #18: "Don't worry, it doesn't bite."
