Yes you're missing a feature...or better SA is missing a feature.... In a next release (4.1?) we will extend the global replace feature to become a global replace/add feature. This will enable to add/replace "stuff" once of all entries/a selection/a group. Still it will be added/replaced per entry. In a next stage will have some more options on the group level like group alerts.
