You already gave the solution, since they have a commandline you can already
use it from SA.
Currently we have no plans to add this as a native alert within Servers
ALive.

Ok the next question is. Have you thought about doing text to speech alerts
via a phone call. Our support staff complain that they miss sms's because
they sleep right through them!.

I have come across a package called, "Phone". Basically you can run a
command line alert to run the application. It then dials the number and
plays a message provided you have a voice modem. Down side is that they
quoted us 250 Euros for it. I have done further investigation and
discovered that if you were using Linux you can achieve the same results
using vgetty.

The links are as follows

Yes you're missing a feature...or better SA is missing a feature.... In a
next release (4.1?) we will extend the global replace feature to become a
global replace/add feature. This will enable to add/replace "stuff" once of
all entries/a selection/a group. Still it will be added/replaced per entry.
In a next stage will have some more options on the group level like group
alerts.

Hello,
I was just wondering if there was a way to setup a few things at a group
level. For example I have a lot of targets that I want to monitor. They
have specific roles within our company. I have grouped them according to
role. I would like to be able to set the alerts and the schedule at a group
level rather than have to modify each individual item. Am I missing
something?

Kind Regards

Simon Hall
