hmm. i inadvertantly replied to the wrong email address, so, it seems this thread is
missing the key response from Dirk detailing what he had me change. i won't repeat it.
Dirk, if you want to share.........

anyway, for my purposes, it worked because the pattern was simple, identical for each
entry and easy to pick up on. i wouldn't monkey with some of the other settings. but
again, it's only a text file and you can always test it and then revert if something
breaks. now that my schedules are correct, i've created an entry i call TEMPLATE, that
i use to create all new entries from. that, or, being sure to set the schedule on each
new entry.

i spent hours configuring things the day we bought the software. i'm working in a new
shop now and didn't realize all that was going on. only after configuring hundreds of
checks, did i realize that we have over a dozen machines that reboot at 5 minutes to
midnight. Servers Alive did it's duty and sent email to my boss's cell phone (a
dozen!) around midnight...

so, i needed to alter the monitoring schedule and fast. i prayed i'd find a global
replace for this function, but, no joy. that was my dilemma. now, if you have
individual days that are different or something, the mass replace isn't an option.
otherwise, five minutes with two copies of Notepad and i was set.

thanx

It looks normal to me that all settings are in the file.
However some are easy to "search-replace" and some are not.

We have the intention to have a largely extended global replace options in one of the
next releases of Servers Alive. At that point it will be "easy" to do mass changes.
