Barry,
Try this - it is an old DOS dialer and terminal program. It is free.
I used to use it in the good old days..... It has, built into it, a very strong scripting language that is well documented.

To: "Salive List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> cc: Subject: [SA-list] Setting up SA with Remote Control Dialler |
Hi All,
Need some ideas here if I may. We have a hardware Firewall that's now in
the habit of locking up regularly requiring a reboot to bring back up.
We've placed a remote power on/off controller in the line of the
firewall so we can dial in, send a code and turn off/on the power. I
need to SA to dial out on its internal modem, wait for an answer, send
the assess code, wait then send the code to turn off the power.
I'd like to automate this with SA, but I'm not sure of the best route.
Scripting I guess is one possibility? Anyone recommend any software to
use as an external check in this case?
Thanks
Barry
