Troy, I was under the impression that is what the Checkevt utility was meant to do...I saw it on a third party website...
http://www.networksimplicity.com/utils/#checkevt I may be wrong...or I may not properly understand what you are looking for...I think it checks the NT event logs, looking for specific entries, and when it finds one, it can create a SA event code that will in turn cause an alert...
