Dirk,
I have found that the check does not end after the 15 second timeout and I
am unable to telnet into servers alive. The application is in a not
responding state and the only way to get around it is to end task and
restart Servers Alive.
In essence it is not a full crash rather a 'freeze' of the application.
I have checked the perfs on the server in question and all is running as it
should, can't see any errors in the eventlog and can view the perfs through
perfmon.

Element not found is a real problem, were the SA machine "asks" the remote
system for a specific element and the remote system can't give it to the SA
host.
But that's different from having a crash.

I've seen the same thing here with 4.1.1591. Finally had to turn off
the check because of too many alerts being generated when the "Element
not found" error occurred.
