The timeout issue is a typical issue with MS API calls. Most of them don't have timeout options and even if they have the are something just not respecting them. We have no option but to accept this since we can't rewrite the API that is part of the OS. And the perfmon check (just as the diskspace/service/process) is using standard API calls.

The application is in a not responding state and the only way to get around it is to end task and restart Servers Alive. In essence it is not a full crash rather a 'freeze' of the application. I have checked the perfs on the server in question and all is running as it should, can't see any errors in the eventlog and can view the perfs through perfmon.
