Ok, here's my test results from last night: Using COMTelnet to get the Date and time stamp from the STATUS screen of SA at 5 second intervals from "Server", with "Server" being a PII 400 running NT4SP6a, SA version 4.1.1591, COMTelnet version 1.1 (192) and "Workstation" being a P 120 running ME, SA version 4.1.1570, COMtelnet version 1.1 (192)
I could always get SA on "Server" to hang at 95-98% by either causing it to update at just the right time when it was being hit by "Workstation", increasing the Task Manager Update speed to High, or just continuously minimizing and maximizing the task man window. Also, if the Service was hung, I couldn't get the service stopped due to an error, I had to re-boot. Worst case first: SA on "server" run as an app, being hit by "workstation" SA on "server" run as a service, being hit by "workstation" SA on "server" run as an app, being hit by itself SA on "server" run as an service, being hit by itself Now the worst case was easily producable within a few cycles, say 6 at the most, sometimes the very first cycle. The best case was eventually producable, but it took some effort to get the timing right. What would you like me to try next?
