I'm trying to set up email checks and I'm getting the following error: SMTP Interupted during a send.
 
Further Investigation reveals a 502: Command not accepted
 
I have done a telnet session with a helo and help:
 
telnet smtp.east.cox.net 25

Since all SMTP connections via my network connection are blocked EXCEPT through Cox's own servers, this is the only connection option I have.
