Title: SNMP OID Check

Since SNMP is a management tool, (i.e. your servers can have settings changed, in some cases even passwords) it is highly suggested that you move the SNMP service to an undisclosed port and lock down it’s access.

In my case though, I use SNMP for hardware devices as well, and those usually cannot have their ports changed. So I would need to be able to select the port on a per check basis.

This can't be done in v4.x

This is something that could be added to v5, however not sure if it's such a good idea....

Other people are also running SNMP on non-standard ports?

Quick Question,

We have an app that runs it's SNMP at a nonstandard port, is there a way to allow SA to query an OID on a different port? If not, can it be added to the wish list? Thanks!
