I can only concur on all the sentiments in this thread. We have the latest and greatest CA NSM ( another monster). Management decided that we needed a proper enterprise management tool and WERE going to ditch SA
But 18 months and hundreds of thousands of Aussie dollars later we still haven't got CA working just right and are STILL relying on SA to monitor the CA server, services and processes because we have no faith in the enterprise product. So dirk you can always advertise SA as a backbone solution to other enterprise products to keep them honest. As an systems admin I always say use the KISS solution (Keep It Simple Stupid).
