And what happends if you use "person" or "team" to send it to? It's only then that it will do the convertion and show it within the log.

This is what the log says:
February 3, 2005 4:39:10 PM Page simulator failed due to a successrate of only 0%
February 3, 2005 4:39:36 PM Had some problems during the page

If I don't have the phone number listed under setup.

I'm running 5.0.1680.  The upgrade seemed to go great, without any noticable problems.  I can see under the person their phone numbers (which I've double checked as correct) and this is the same people who get E-mails for non-critical on-call system failures (which works post-upgrade).

I have to say v5 is pretty fantastic overall we can really get creative with our checks and reactions to something down.

What version of SA are you using?
What does the logfile show?

(looking at the source code the convertion from a person/team to a (list of) number(s) should be done correctly, and if it's converted it should also take in account a persons schedule).

Subject: [SA-list] Numeric paging

I'm trying to configure numeric paging so that it will contact whoever is on call after hours is certain checks fail.

I've set up phone numbers under the persons "pager" information, similar to how we have E-mail set up (and E-mail works fine).

If under setup - numeric paging I put a phone number in (lets say mine) and then run a failure test - it will call my number instead of who is on call (as defined in the SA check).  If I remove the phone number from under setup no one gets a phone call on a failure.

We've been working around it by changing the phone number of the person who is on call under setup, but obviously this work around isn't a long term solution as we're trying to avoid manual processes that can get forgotten or missed.

I've tried using TAPI vs the direct COM port, but neither seem to make a difference to this working.

Any thoughts?

Steve
