Use multiple copies of Servers Alive to move as many checks as possible

Subject: [SA-list] Servers Alive Polling speed

Trying to improve the polling speed as I am diong around 1000 checks.
The delay seems to be in the responses to the pools as many of the
servers are on WAN links.

Has anyone found a way to speed it up. Dirk could the poller piece be
multithreaded, i.e. Poll more than one device at a time?.

The problem is further compounded as I am trying to graph the results
via RRD and do not get a consistent poll time. Looks like if you set the
polling period for say, 15 min, the polling is done and then SA waits 15
mins before starting another set of polls? Rather than starting the
timer at the beginning of the previous poll sequence?

Thanks

Dave
