A little recap of what the change is (as we discussed this
off-list)
If the prettyname in the importfile
is
@KEEP@
keep the prettyname of the template entry
@SMART@
do a smart replace - meaning take the prettyname of the tempate entry and
replace the name of the template-host with the name of the
import-host
=>
example
template
hostname:
ATHENA
prettyname: I was on
athena when this happend
importfile
king,@SMART@,my
remark
elba,@KEEP@,my remark
nuba,,my
remark
venux,this was venus
before,my remark
new
entry
hostname:
king
prettyname: I was on
king when this happend
hostname:
elba
prettyname: I was on
athena when this happend hostname:
nuba
prettyname:
hostname:
venux
prettyname: this was
venus before Dirk. From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Barron,Joseph Sent: Friday, October 28, 2005 10:11 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [SA-list] Import Hosts -- Preserve Pretty Names? Dirk, I almost can’t
tell you how much I appreciate this without having to use an expletive or two
for emphasis. Thanks very much for this immediate(!!) granting of my
feature request. As best as I can tell,
it works perfectly, and as described.
