Along these lines, I have a 3Com officeconnect modem/router model 3C886.
It's a 4 port router with a dialup modem. Does DHCP, great little unit for
my dialup connection (this one). I have 2 ethernet ports (cards) on this
computer, one for cable and the other for the modem. I have made batch
files that do release/renews for each nic. When the pc is booted it runs
the one for cable. If I need the newsgroups I click the dialup one. Just
wondering (as I don't know), can I use Salive to somehow check my dialup
connection is working??? Any ideas or pointers??
