When performing a URL check with a "contains" clause, Servers Alive saves
150 bytes (by default) of the retrieved web page in the log file. You
can change how much is saved by changed by adding or editing the following
registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DBU Consulting\Servers Alive\Log\HTTPBytesinLog
(string)
A value of -1 means the full web page. Use this with care since your log
file will grow very fast. A value of 0 defaults back to 150 bytes.

For this test I would set it to 0 and then check when you get a down what
exact page we did get from the server.

Dirk.

Subject: [SA-list] Some HTTP checks randomly fail after upgrade.

Weirdest thing (which I thought I had fixed by changing the checks to
use HTTP 1.1, but apparently not.)

Basically they check content on a page and look for a word near the
end of the page.

Previously if we got a DOWN message, it meant the page really had a problem.

But now, it apparently random gives us DOWN messages with the response:

Got page and content is NOT ok

We've tested the pages dozens of times manually and with other tools
and have not seen a single error.

Other URL tests for other products we have seem to be fine.

Any suggestions?

(and as we appear to be blocking you due to the spam blacklist
problem you mentioned, I'll review the website in the morning.)
