The "extra field should contain" is to filter out different types of
"downs", filtering based on the real content of the extra field. Typical
example would be an HTTP check were you get a 404 error or a 500 error and
depending on the number (404 or 500) you want to have a different alert.
It will not work for what you are doing as the extra field doesn't contain
the words you're looking for.

In the current version it's not possible to differ between a minor and major
alert except by creating 2 check entries.

Subject: [SA-list] Extra Information Field on Alerts? How to use?
Importance: High

To the list,

I am setting up alerts, ( Memory thresholds) and when there is an alert
memory wise I would like to tag it with "Minor Alert" "Major Alert" based
on how low the memory is going on the server.

Can I accomplish this via the following?
On the ADD/EDIT Alert page for the alert and it has the following:

When Down the "Extra Info Field" should contain (Should not contain) "minor
Alert"

I did put this in 1 alert that I knew was in a failed state and I don't see
"Minor Alert" in the email to myself.

How to implement this feature is there configuration in other places to make
this work, since I can't find this in the HTML help.

Please advise,
Sincerely,
Ed
