We're thinking about something similar...having the ability (for the checks
that give a number back - like diskspace - perfmon - ...) to define 2 values
were you can say (example)
> 50 MINOR
> 90 MAJOR
and within the alerting use the notion of MINOR and MAJOR

The extra info field is data that is contained in the error. Therefore if
you are checking a website and get a 500 internal server error then "500
internal server error" is the extra info. The extra info field is NOT a way
to add extra info in the email. To add extra info to the
email use the subject and message box (i.e. MAJOR alert %h is %s). If
you add the %e paramater to your email you will see what the extra info
field contains.
