Information Field on Alerts? Ho w to use?

We're thinking about something similar...having the ability (for the checks
that give a number back - like diskspace - perfmon - ...) to define 2 values
were you can say (example)
        > 50 MINOR
        > 90 MAJOR
and within the alerting use the notion of MINOR and MAJOR

Dirk.

use?

The extra info field is data that is contained in the error. Therefore if
you are checking a website and get a 500 internal server error then "500
internal server error" is the extra info. The extra info field is NOT a way
to add extra info in the email. To add extra info to the
email use the subject and message box (i.e. MAJOR alert %h is %s). If
you add the %e paramater to your email you will see what the extra info
field contains.
