Just a quick return to that topic of the AV check. We debated whether it would be possible to have the check alert if the difference between the web version and the local version was greater than x (to avoid false alerts when the new version was propagating). Dirk pointed out that this was difficult as some versions aren't numerical.

Nevertheless this is something of a pain. I wonder if there is any way to do an "if web more than x greater than local" check where the version IDs *are* numerical? (i.e. the ones that aren't numerical just don't work with that option). Failing that (and I know I'm being a pain) would it be possible to have different versions of the com check for different types of AV, such that those ones that do have a numerical version could be compared in this way?

Cheers,

Ian
