The popups from SA normaly show a title that includes OR the name of the COM
check OR SA.

The results are the same when running SA as an application or a service. I
also tried checking a different database, same Notes server, with the same
results.

I guess the Lotus Notes client could be suspect. What I find unusual that lead
me to suspect SA was:
    1. The checks work if you click OK on the popup. That lead me to believe
the Notes client was working.
    2. The popup window goes away after the timeout. That lead me to believe
SA was the source of the pop-up Window.

Could be bad conclusions.

My guess is that it's a Notes problem, not a problem of the checks as such.
The check calls components that are part of the Notes client.
Can you try it when SA is running as application?

It was SA running as a service.

This is the only check using the Lotus Notes com check. It is logging into a
database. No other checks are exhibiting this behavior.

Is this for all Notes tests you're doing?
Is this with SA running as service or as app?

We just started experiencing problems with the Lotus Notes com check.

When the check is run, we get a pop-up window. Below are the basic contents of
the pop-up:
---------------------------
Error
---------------------------
The system cannot find the file specified.

---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

If someone is sitting at the console watching, the check will work if you click
<OK> within the specified timeout period. Otherwise the check fails as a
timeout failure and an alert gets sent. I do not see anything out of the
ordinary in the Servers Alive log file. It is just showing a timeout error.

To the best of my knowledge the only recent changes were Microsoft security and
DST patches.

Any ideas?
