To be fair I can't see that Dirk was being curt he was simply saying that many of the enhancements suggested were new features, that is not to say thay they would be ignored and not addresses but I believe the point was to ask for cosmetic suggestions and possibly examples. Features can always be added later in beta releases or even to existing product.
Yes we do pay good money but also the product is priced very well I have looked extensively into others most are astronimically priced have excessive agent license fees as well and the only contender which is free is Nagios which runs under Linux and is quite complicated and requires almost a dedicated person to maintain. Also how many other products update fixes and features as regularly and give you the benefit of downloading them the moment they are made from the beta website. I my experience most product offer bi annual -> annual product releases as an almost completely new product. As for the local service problem you cite you can still authenticate to serevrs with a username and password. There is very few things that you are incapable of doing running under local system armed with a service account username and password. Salive also allows you to store these credetials AES encrypted. Use global change wizard to set credentials for all you checks nice and easily.
