What about a com utility that knows the standard MIBs for APC ups units?  They
you could have a simple app for checking temp, voltage, battery age, etc without
forcing user to go through long SNMP strings.

It's not about doing something new, as much as doing a common thing much easier
and cleaner....

Just my two cents.
