The 1770 is a good alternative and only two stepping rates are different The 1770 was used by the Opus Discovery for the spectrum (which I used in my speccy days) where the 1772 has 2 and 3 msec the 1770 has 20 and 30 msec rates (if I recall it right) Edwin
