As some already saw in the Urmond pictures. I made a couple of
CF to IDE adapters using PCMCIA (or PC card) adapters.
it features a Master/slave jumper and a Blue LED

On the Urmond meeting I tested a couple of CF cards hooked up as a slave
device
to my 450Mb Quantum Fireball and using B-DOS. As the test I put a test
pattern on screen and I saved thescreen, reloaded it and repeated the
save/loading continuesly for a minute or so.
If there was a read write error it would show up immediately. for the
save/loading I
used READ AT and WRITE AT commands.

It worked just fine with 4Mb (sUndisk) cards and a 64Mb card (Benjamin what
was the Brand?) But did not work with a 16Mb Transcend card. Also a 128Mb
sAndisk did not
work 100% reliable. I will look into this 'unreliable' furter and see if it
is a software or hardware issue.

I know a couple of you already use CF using Collins CF adapter and I'm
wondering
which tests where made to test a cards compatibility and if the card was
tested as a single
IDE master device or a master/slave configuration.
