You can get Wikipedia on DVD... are you saying that this violates the
data protection act?  I'm not talking about backups of any personal
information -- just the articles.  This needn't even include each
article's history.

I was hoping that there would be more than just a few people with rights
to edit.  There are a lot of subscribers to this list, although most seem
to lurk, but judging from the list, perhaps we could have at least 20
trusted users?  I'd have preferred it if getting rights to edit could be
a relatively informal process, especially for existing list members.

Surely more than a few people will want editing access... so where are
you planning to draw the line?

I can understand the need for limiting the number of people with the
ability to delete.

Yeah, but I think that's best avoided.  IMO, the entire point of a wiki
is that you don't have to request changes.
