BIG compliments (and also THANK YOU) for the http://worldofsam.org
page!
It's the second one I am checking at work (right after
http://www.raww.org, ZX news site:) and for me (as one with no past on
Sam) it's a great source of informations! I can't provide much of
support
for the content (yet!:), but I am at least voting and as I see, Sam
was
not really a "desert" from the beginning as it was told to me by
lot of
people.
Hi there,
Many thanks for the positive comments. It's been quite a lot of work
getting the site up to standard, but it's really encouraging to hear
from someone who's found the result so helpful.
I'd also like to thank everyone who has contributed so far - there's
still a very long way to go, of course, but I'm pleased with the
progress the site has made in just a couple of months.
I already started to
play with E-Tracker, just last thing to go is to know, how to
change the
speed. Right, I have no manual, I found nothing around the
ftp.nvg.unit.no. But for now is really enough if anyone can provide
me an
info how to change speed of playing the song.
You need to use a command, the last two digits after a note on any
channel:
3n
where n is the number of frames between each note. The default is 6.
Another tip; check out Fred 52, there is a program on there by Stefan
Drissen which will decompile the short music files which can be found
on Fred E-Tunes for example, into the larger .M format which E-
Tracker can load. That way you can see how some of the original music
achieved their effects.
Cheers,
Andrew
