Well I've already mentioned one use I have for the network (that is, for
sending programs from the +3 to the Sam - since my +3 does not have a Sam
format disk drive attached, unfortunately).

But has anyone ever considered any networked games? I already have one
which works between Spectrums using RS232 - it is a hack of the submarine
game which was published in Your Computer in November 1984 (or somewhere
around there). Instead of trying to shoot down another submarine generated
randomly by the computer, you shoot down the submarine which is being driven
by the person on the other end of the wire. It's a bit cumbersome, but it
works!

There is a game doing the rounds here called "xblast" (which, as you will no
doubt have guessed, runs on X windows). It is a version of something called
"bomberman" which I personally have never seen, but the great thing about it
is that each of four players can use his own terminal...
