Well I shall have to do some experimenting on that front.  Presumably it
depends whether the screen is on or not and whether the routine is in
ROM?  If not then it's a stupid piece of hardware and it should have
been redesigned (though that does explain why the Sam almost always
seems to run at the same speed as a Spectrum rather than 1.7 times as
fast as it should be).
