I read Usenet, sure. But I do have lots of better things to do with my time too. And any assembly routines I write are 100% pure useful-for-other-things. I must say though, that if I had to take up nearly 512k to do the 3d graphics routines for a game, I'm sure I wouldn't have room in the memory to do Elite afterwards.
