Mr. Brenchley wrote in publice that he sold it as being a so-called official copyrighted version. You still need permission from the copyright holders or a license to sell a patched Sam-version. Selling a Sam version of Elite in a Amstrad box just because you have to happen to have a large stock of Amstrad versions does not make it a legal version.
