I know all about the problems involved in trying to please the non-paying
punter. However, I was just making a suggestion that I feel would be an
improvement to the compression feature as it's at a design stage.

Actually, I do. At worst, the difference between a gzipped DSK file and a
custom-compressed zipfile should only be in the order of 10s of K. That's only
an extra few seconds of download time.
