Then who else *was* it directed at?
IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE IRONY OF SUCH A SITUATION, I'M NOT GOING TO
EXPLAIN WHAT WAS ESSENTIALLY A LIGHT HEARTED SARCASTIC COMMENT.
"I know - once we've cracked how to get it up and running why don't we sell
it Persona for charity purposes...."

So why should the Sam's copyright-holders let you download their software,
based on the unauthorized and illegal availability of that particular
title?
SO WHY DOES CHRIS WHITE DO THIS WITH PRINCE OF PERSIA THEN?

ANYTHING which isn't specifically made free, is copyrighted to somebody.
Frankly I'm quite surprised by the number of people who don't seem to
immediately realise this.
WE DO REALISE THIS ANDREW, CHECK OUT THE 5,438 GAMES FOR DOWNLOAD AT WORLD
OF SPECTRUM AND YOU'LL REALISE THE COPYRIGHT HOLDERS DON'T CARE BECAUSE THE
COMPUTER IS DEAD AND THE SOFTWARE IS NOT FOR SALE! AS DOES CHRIS WHITE!

I would either pay up, or I would not use it. Probably the latter, but I
wouldn't go around mailing lists complaining about how stupid they were for
excercising their legal rights.
SO ON NOTE THINK ON HOW NICE IT IS THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY UP!

I'd say "That's a breach of the GPL, Sir". Fortunately he doesn't.
WELL DO YOU EVER WONDER WHY HE DOESN'T?!! OR WHY CHRIS PILE DOESN'T CHARGE
FOR DEFENDER? IT'S CALLED GOODWILL, AND LONG MAY IT CONTINUE, OTHERWISE
THERE WON'T BE ANY SCENE LEFT IF SUCH AN ATTITUDE PREVAILED.
