You'll need bzip2 and tar to extract it, then Visual Studio 6 to build
it. I'm guessing you probably just want a version to use on your Win98
machine, rather than to build it yourself?

Sure... I've built an updated Win32 EXE from the same code Stefan's is
using under Linux.

If you've not got it already, download the existing Win32 version 0.81a
from http://www.simcoupe.org/. Then download the updated EXE from:
http://www.simcoupe.org/SimCoupe-0.90-beta4-Win32.zip and extract the
contents over the old SimCoupe.exe. To confirm you're using the new one
have a look in the About box - the version should be "0.90 beta 4".

To use the Atom support, change the Drive 2 type to "Atom Hard Disk" in
the options. Then create an "Atom" sub-directory in the directory
containing SimCoupé, and copy some disk images to it. Any disk images
found will become part of a virtual hard disk for BDOS. I'd recommend
starting with about 5 blank disk images, created using New Disk on the
File menu, before using existing images (just in case!). Of course,
it'll be easier if you've used a real Atom before - see the BDOS docs
for more info.

The Win32 verison continues to use the native GUI, but you can still
access the new GUI (as used by the SDL version under Linux). If you
hold down shift as you select "Insert...", "Options..." or "About..."
from the menus, the built-in versions will be used instead. Note that
some of the Display options will be disabled, as they're not yet
available in the SDL version.

There are lots of other (mainly internal) changes I can't remember now -
the ChangeLog and Win32-specific documents will be updated just before
the release. If you're unsure of anything, or you find any potential
bugs, please let me know!
