I realise it's *not* Colin's intent, but his cries of "Please don't emulate
this" can come across as someone desperate to squeeze whatever they can out of a
scene they're desparately hanging onto as a business. A little Bob Brenchley, if you
will. ;) In all honesty, I examine the situation with a level head and I understand
Colin's motivation, and I don't believe this is what he wants at all, but the knee-jerk
reaction to seeing such a request can be this way, while really, Colin is the most
dedicated out of any of us, and if it wasn't for him we probably wouldn't have any fresh
products to fuel our hobby.
Nicely spoken sir!

It is al about a choice of words, "I have an agreement with Simon not to emulate my hardware in SC because of..." sounds a lot more friendly and less desperate than "Denied". Legally speaking Collin does not have a leg to stand on when it comes to Open-source software, but with carefull wording this whole fuss would have been avoided.

As for the "Unsubscribe" from David, would people find it odd that it did not come as a surprise to me?
