Hi, Mike.  I don't have all the answers, maybe someone else can confirm my answer.  First, I don't think samba runs on Mac OS.  Second, Windows has ready has the capability to share file.  (The whole point of samba is to provide SMB protocol to non-windows machine i.e. Linux)  I think you would have to install AppleTalk on your Win2K machine for your Mac computer to see it..

Anyone,
I'm a newby so please be patient with me. I have a macintosh OS 10.1.5 computer and want to install samba so I can network in my wife's win 2000 machine thru a router. I looked at the website for samba and I see nothing there specifically telling me what exactly to download. Please, what exactly do I need and where do I get it from. I would also like to have some documentation on how to install, setup, and use it.
