This is an automatic mail answering message.
Your mail has reached the help line for the Glimpse search
software at the University of Arizona.

We get a lot of mail.
We try to answer questions promptly, but we can't promise.
Have in mind that our resources are very limited for this free service.

If you have questions about glimpse, please check first the manual pages
(the files with names ending with .1) or the on-line help at
(http://glimpse.cs.arizona.edu/). If you find the answer after
you mailed us, we'd appreciate hearing from you.
The current version of Glimpse is 4.1.

If your question is about WebGlimpse, be sure to check its
home pages at http://glimpse.cs.arizona.edu/webglimpse/
and in particular, the News section there (news.html).
The current version of WebGlimpse is 1.5.

We do not support GlimpseHTTP any more, due to a security weakness.
You should upgrade to WebGlimpse.

Here's a super-mini FAQ (sorry, we haven't written a real FAQ yet):
1. No, there is no Windows or Mac ports yet (we and others are working
   on that, can't say how long it will take);
   The is an agrep port.
2. Check all permissions carefully if WebGlimpse does not seem to work;
3. If you encounter some problems, run glimpse *without* the -y option
   so you can see the warnings glimpse gives,
4. You need Perl 5 for WebGlimpse.

If you report suspected bugs, please include glimpse version number
(run glimpse -V) and the platform you use.
