[Samba] RHLinux (7.2) and W2000 Server

New to Linux.
Looking for quick and easy step by step how to for W2000 WS/Server environment.

W2000 server "sees" Linux box, but nothing else.

I have read info on problems with earlier versions.
Not certain what comes with Linux, and if not the latest,
what should i download.
Familiar with tar and rpm.
