Where did you read that? Do you mean the primary unix group of a user must be a group that is mapped to a windows group? Every once in a while my samba server logs complain that a user's primary group is not a windows group, but there is no indication of what it is or how to change it. On redhat machines, by default each user's primary unix group is a group with the same name as the user.
