Antivirus (Sophos) is running on both machines, but I expect Sophos to do nothing, because it's not an executable. Maybe rerunning the test will clearify that. Otherwise the system is idle. But the only thing I wanted to show is, that my WinXP has no problems writing to a Samba share. Performance is good (at least in my opinion). br, Sebastian
