Ahh, "re-booted" threw me off and I thought you wanted to reboot the box.

Subject: [sambar] Automatic Server Re-boot?

I guess that is one way to do it. I really only need to restart Sambar
though.. Not the whole machine.

In the docs I can see how to install the Sambar as a service (-i), how to
uninstall as a service (-u) and how to execute the server directly (-d).
Now if I can find a command to stop the server, I can write a bat file to
stop the server, pause a few seconds and then restart it using the -d
option.

Problem is, I can't seem to figure out a way to stop the server...

shutdown.exe -r works on XP .. I think it comes with the NT resource kit for
NT/2k ...

Can anyone thing of a way that Sambar can be re-booted on a schedule? This
e-mail problem is going to be the death of me unless I can find a way to at
least treat the symptom (versus having Todd come up with a fix).

I figure if I can reboot the server twice a day using task scheduler or
something, I may get my life back. My wife wants us to go out of town for a
few days but I simply can't unless I take my laptop and have an internet
connection available to baby-sit this mail server!

Rebooting the server every 12 hours may not be the best fix, but it should
work for me. If anyone can think of a way to do this, please let me
know!!

Paul
