Oh, my fault, should be cat /sys it also has to be mounted somewhere during startup: mount -n -t sysfs sys /sys The output looks good, the scanner is connected and only accessible as root user. Sorry, but did you really do the export SANE_DEBUG_PLUSTEK=20 ; scanimage -L as root user???? Gerhard
