Hubert, I use the same scanner with a 2.4.16-SuSE-Kernel. It works here but i do not remember what I did or if I experienced a problem like yours. Is the scanner activly terminated? I use a Dawicontrol SCSI card not the one shipped with the scanner. So don't give up. Stefan
